Dr Christopher Go is a vitreo-retinal surgeon with expertise in treating retinal and macular disorders as well as complex cataract surgery. He studied medicine at the University of New South Wales. He has Masters degrees in Public Health and Ophthalmic Science from University of New South Wales and University of Sydney respectively. Dr Go completed his ophthalmology training in the prestigious Sydney Eye Hospital network, as well as a Senior Ophthalmology Registrar year at Westmead Hospital. He went on to complete 4 clinical fellowships focusing on medical and surgical retina as well as cataract at Royal Liverpool University Hospital (UK), Hong Kong, Taiwan and Melbourne. Dr Go’s areas of expertise include: · Macular disorders - epiretinal membrane, macular holes, macular degeneration · Retinal disorders - retinal vein occlusions, retinal detachment, diabetic eye disease, floaters · Complex cataract surgeries - sutureless scleral-fixated intraocular lens implant Dr Go is actively involved with teaching and education. He is an appointed Basic Sciences examiner by RANZCO, Adjunct Associate Lecturer at UNSW and Conjoint Clinical Lecturer at Sydney University. Dr Go remains active in academia. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, been invited to review peer-reviewed articles and frequently presented at national and international conferences. He continues to collaborate with international colleagues and has been a participant of the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Rising Star Program as well as the Leadership Development Program.
